William Kottemann, DDS, MS
Dr. Bill Kottemann has been practicing orthodontics for over 34 years in the metro area. Dr. Bill received his dental degree from the University of Iowa, his orthodontic certificate and Masters of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Bill has become the most experienced Invisalign® provider in Minnesota. When not in the office, he is lecturing across the country on behalf of Align Technology, teaching other orthodontists how to use Invisalign® more effectvely.
Dr. Bill lives in Orono, MN with his wife, Jean. He enjoys boating, golf and skiing. In addtion to their son, Dr. Kraig, Dr. Bill has a second son, Dr. Scott Kottemann, who joined the practice last July!
Dr. Bill has been chosen repeatedly by his peers as one of "The Top Dentists" in the Mpls/St. Paul Magazine and MN Monthly.

Kraig J. Kottemann, DMD, MS
Dr. Kraig Kottemann joined Kottemann Orthodontics in 1998 as a laboratory technician and is now one of your treating orthodontists, hoping to provide the most conservative treatments with the most esthetic results. Dr. Kraig received his bachelor’s degrees in Art Studio and Biology from the University of Notre Dame. He then got his dental degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry graduating at the top of his class. Dr. Kraig became an orthodontic specialist by completing his training at the University of Minnesota, receiving a Master’s of Science.
Dr. Kraig has brought the new technology of Temporary Anchorage Devices, (TADs), to the practice. He has also been certified in the use of lasers for orthodontic use.
Dr. Kraig lives with his wife, Laura in Mound, MN. Laura and Kraig have twin girls, Valerie and Olivia, that are now almost 3 years old! Dr. Kraig and Laura are staying very busy with them when he isn't creating smiles in the office.
Dr. Kraig enjoys playing basketball and almost all outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and golfing.
Scott Kottemann, DDS
Dr. Scott Kottemann is the brother of Dr. Kraig and son of Dr. Bill. Dr. Scott began his dental career at age 16, creating 3D digital models of teeth for a start-up company in Chanhassen. His passion for integrating technology with science led him to a career in biotechnology out in San Diego.
Dr. Scott soon realized he missed treating patients which inspired him to begin a career in dentistry. After graduating from the top of his dental class from the University of Michigan, Dr. Scott finished his training at the University of Minnesota specializing in Orthodontics.
When not in the office, Dr. Scott enjoys all water sports, golf and snow skiing.
